We train women to win elections

For candidates across the political spectrum from EU member states, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.

Our Mission

For two decades, research has been clear: countries with more women in political leadership see stronger democracies, higher trust in government, and less corruption. Women leaders tend to bridge divides and champion policies that include more voices.

But today, despite the benefits, progress is stalling. Women entering politics face growing hostility, and their representation in parliaments is slowing down globally.

That’s where ELECTA comes in.

ELECTA is Europe’s first academy dedicated to helping women win elections. We offer female political candidates from across the political spectrum a one-week intensive programme led by political strategists and electoral campaign experts with first-hand experience in winning elections.

"Closing the gap is not just about fairness - it strengthens our democracy. When leadership reflects realities of our societies, we make better decisions. We need more women to step forward as candidates, and they must have the tools to succeed. I am glad to see that ELECTA empowers future female leaders."
